Mrs. Frances P.‘s birthday is this month and she will be turning 105 years young! She was born and raised in Lee County, KY, near Beattyville, in a place called Glen Eden by her mother and father. Frances knew growing up she wanted to help children. She went to Berea College to become a teacher by the age of 20. She started at Glen Eden High School as an American History teacher.
4 years later she became a loving teacher at George Rogers Clark High School. She married the love of her life, Earnest P., in 1944 and had two children, Vickie and Harry. Frances has 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren, which she is very proud of. Frances wishes she could still teach today. Frances’ whole family followed in her footsteps and became teachers as well! We love having Frances around to keep us smiling. Frances recently won our 2017 Valentine Queen contest!
