Brittany is a lover of all things nature, including some things that some people might find “creepy.” Brittany has a small collection of bug taxidermy, and wanted to show others her interesting prized possessions!
Eastern Hercules Beetle – females don’t have horns like the males, they are native to United States, and have a lifespan of up to 3 years.
Polyphemus Moth – native to Northern America and Canada, unfortunately lack mouths so only live a few days, only long enough to reproduce.
Polyphemus Silkmoth – smaller and smoother than the Polyphemus Moth but just as fascinating!
Brushfooted Butterfly – medium-large sized, feed on mud, dead flowers and dung, very common in America, with a lifespan of about 30 days.
