The purpose of National Men’s Health Week (June 15-21) is to raise awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of physical and mental disease among men.
It can sometimes be difficult to have your health checked routinely. According to CDC, women are 100% more likely to visit the doctor for annual examinations and preventive services than men. This may contribute to the fact that men on average die almost five years earlier than women.
For National Men’s Health Week this year, we encourage men to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury.
