Hello, my name is Mr. E. and I’m 32 years old. Last August, one of my worst fears became a reality; I was in a car accident causing multiple injuries. I required an extended hospital stay with multiple surgeries and rehab, at which point my insurance wouldn’t cover additional days. We looked into many different skilled nursing facilities to continue my rehab in a sub-acute setting, but no one would accept me due to my age and insurance.
A friend mentioned Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center to me, so I told my case manager, and the next morning I was accepted. October rolled around and I transferred to Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center where I was welcomed with nothing but professionalism and respect. I’ve made some great friends on this journey, and the staff were nothing but kind and willing to help when help was needed.
When I first arrived, I never thought I’d walk again but the physical therapy team proved me wrong. They saw potential in me and never gave up on me as I never gave up on myself. I was willing to do whatever it took to be able to take those first steps. I have Stanton Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, their physical therapy team and God to thank for getting me back on my feet and for giving me the best Christmas gift ever… being able to go home for Christmas!
