Success Stories
Powell County’s, Polly T, came to Stanton Nursing and Rehab for some short-term therapy as she was suffering from generalized weakness and multiple falls. It was super important for Polly to receive her therapy in her hometown, as she wanted to stay close to her family.
Polly worked with physical, occupation, and speech therapy and had an individualized plan created just for her. Polly pushed herself each day and set a goal for her discharge. It was her goal to be strong enough to bake up some of her homemade bread in the therapy kitchen. She thought this would be the perfect way to say thanks to those that cared for her and knew when she was strong enough to move around the kitchen, she was strong enough to go home.
Once the staff at Stanton tasted Miss Polly’s homemade bread, they didn’t want to let her leave! We wish Miss Polly the best and hope she is doing well back home!
