What a busy month May will be for us! Starting with Derby week, a week of races, games, and prizes! Fulfilled with different activities as we race to the finish line!
Also, National Skilled Nursing Care Week, (formally known as, National Nursing Home Week) begins on May 14th, and ends on May 18th! We will be going back in time, with a different decade each day!
Monday: 1940’s – American Solute! Most of World War ll took place, the Cold War began, and Pearl Harbor was attacked, during the 1940’s. Residents and staff are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue to show our support for the military! We will also be hosting our Annual Mother’s Day Luncheon!
Tuesday: 1950’s – Diner theme! Residents and staff are encouraged to wear 50’s inspired clothing!
Wednesday: 1960’s – Groovin’ Hippies Theme! Residents are staff are encouraged to wear 60’s inspired clothing, or Softball tees, as our Annual Softball Game against Irvine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center will be held this day!
Thursday: 1970’s – Let’s Boogie, Disco Theme! Residents and staff are encouraged to wear 70’s inspired clothing!
Friday: 1980’s – Totally 80’s Theme! Residents and staff are encouraged to wear 80’s inspired clothing! We will be having a cookout for all staff and residents to enjoy! 2:30 we will be having our Totally 80’s Party with fun games, prizes, and food! A photo booth will be set up for residents and staff to create memories!
