In May, we celebrated the biggest week of the entire year! National Skilled Nursing Care Week was May 9th through the 13th. We brought family recipes to add to our future cookbook and ate delicious pasta salad and strawberry and banana casserole on Monday. On Tuesday, we started the morning off with a stretch followed by a fun âSave the Planetâ game and strawberry smoothies that may have been a little too sour. After tons of tweaking, Courtney and Brittany were finally able to turn the sour strawberries into delicious smoothies. For âProject: Save the Planet,â residents will be able to bring their recycling to the Activity Department, every 3 items they turn in they will receive a bingo buck for. Residents love easy money, and we love to do our part in protecting the planet! Itâs a win-win for all! On Wednesday, residents played a friendly game of âFact or Crap,â âGuess that Tune,â and ended the day with a fun tie dye activity! Residents were tie dye professionals and didnât even know it! Thursday may have been the best day! Residents played a speed math game to test their memory on how much they remembered. We played âAre You Smarter Than a 5th Graderâ with a 5th grade class at Clay City Elementary via zoom. Followed by a science experiment where resident made elephant toothpaste and watched weird science. On Friday, residents made animal treats to take to the local animal shelter, put together and painted birdhouses, and received puppy visits from both Courtney and Brittanyâs dogs! We canât wait until next year!
